How to use
Sunny Hope is a morning candle for kitchens, dining rooms and home offices. Follow these steps for a clean burn through both wax layers.
- On the first light, wait until the full top is liquid to the glass, after about two to three hours. Do this before you start short morning burns.
- Cut the wick to 6 mm before each use. Remove the trimmings from the wax.
- In a kitchen, keep the jar away from the stove, the range hood fan and open windows.
- Burn it for one to four hours. Do not go past four hours.
- Put it on a stable, heat-safe surface, out of reach of children and pets. Do not leave it lit when you go out.
- The two wax sunflowers and leaves melt into the pool over time. This is by design.
- Stop when 1 cm of wax remains. The empty jar makes a small vase or pen holder.

Frequently asked questions
What does Sunny Hope smell like?
Lemon and a fresh, airy note at the top, with daisy and sunflower underneath. Light and breezy rather than sweet.
Do sunflowers actually have a scent?
A faint one, green and slightly earthy. This fragrance puts sunflower with daisy and lemon, so the floral note is easy to smell.
Are the sunflowers on top real?
No. They are moulded wax sunflowers, set on the surface by hand along with the green wax leaves. Nothing on this candle is food, and they melt into the pool as the candle burns.
Is it too sweet for a kitchen?
No. There is no honey or sugar note. Lemon and the airy ozone note keep it light, so it sits well next to cooking smells.
How long does a 5 oz candle burn?
25 to 30 hours, depending on how long you burn it each time and how draughty the room is.
Is this a good gift for someone having a hard time?
It is the one customers choose most often for that. Warm and bright without being sentimental, and it lasts a lot longer than flowers.
