How to use
Pumpkin Glow is a 5 oz pumpkin pie candle for kitchens and dining rooms in fall. The wick goes through the centre of the wax pumpkin, so the first burns need a little care.
- The first time you light it, the flame starts inside the wax pumpkin. Stay near the candle until the pumpkin melts down into the white layer.
- Let that first burn continue for two to three hours, until the white layer is liquid all the way to the glass.
- Trim the wick to 6 mm with scissors or a wick trimmer. Throw the trimmed piece in the bin, not in the jar.
- On a Thanksgiving table, put it in the centre, away from napkins, paper plates and hands that reach across.
- Limit each burn to four hours or less.
- If you leave the room, blow it out first. Children and pets must stay at a safe distance from the flame.
- Finish at 1 cm of wax. The washed jar can hold tea lights or small gourds.

Frequently asked questions
What does Pumpkin Glow smell like?
Pumpkin pie. Pumpkin puree and pie crust at the top, cinnamon, clove and ginger in the middle, cinnamon leaf and vanilla sugar at the base.
Is it a pumpkin spice latte scent?
No. There is no coffee or milk note. It is pumpkin, pie crust and baking spice.
How is it different from Maple Reverie?
Maple Reverie opens on fruit and has a dry maple leaf heart. Pumpkin Glow is sweeter and smells of a baked pie.
Is the pumpkin on top real?
No. It is moulded wax, set on the candle by hand, and the wick runs through its centre. It melts down on the first burns.
Is it a good hostess gift for Thanksgiving?
Yes. It is a small gift that suits a fall dinner, and the wax pumpkin makes the season clear at a glance.
How many hours does Pumpkin Glow burn?
Between 25 and 30 hours. Burns of two to four hours in a room without draughts give the longest life.
