The Blooming Rose is a hand-poured floral candle built around a fresh-cut rose fragrance that actually smells like roses: green and slightly watery at the top, deeply floral in the heart, with a warm, velvety base that carries the scent forward long after the brightest notes have softened.

The scent, layer by layer

The top note is fresh: the green, slightly dewy quality of a rose that’s just been cut — stem still intact, petals still cool. This is the note that makes the fragrance feel alive rather than preserved, and it’s what immediately distinguishes it from synthetic rose.

The heart is full and velvety — classic rose in full bloom, rich and deeply floral without tipping into the powdery sweetness that makes some rose fragrances feel dated or heavy.

Why rose fragrance benefits from coconut soy wax

Rose is a heart-heavy fragrance — the most distinctive and beautiful part of the scent lives in the middle notes, which require sustained, consistent heat to release properly. Too-hot burning (as with paraffin) can blast these notes unevenly, producing an initial rush followed by a flatter, less interesting fragrance.

Coconut soy wax’s cooler, more even burn allows the heart notes — the deep rose, the jasmine, the warm musk — to release at the pace they were designed for. The result is a candle that grows more beautiful as it burns, not less.

Candle care

First burn: allow the wax to reach the full edges of the jar — 2–3 hours. This sets the burn memory and prevents tunnelling for the life of the candle.

Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn. Keep burns under 4 hours. Keep away from drafts. The jar is reusable once the candle is spent.
